Nu Psi Chapter, Third District of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., received an additional $10,000 for its endowment, an endowed scholarship at Virginia State University (VSU) Foundation. The award will add to the funds already at the university that are providing scholarships annually to VSU undergraduate members of the Nu Psi Chapter, Third District of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

“This extraordinary gift is from the brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. to Virginia State University a Historical Black College and University (HBCU),” said Brother Dr. David Marion, 41st Grand Basileus, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.Marion added, “We hope this check of $10,000 will inspire other Greek organizations to support the VSU Foundation.”

In mid-March 2021, Brother Conrado B. Morgan, District Representative for the Third District of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. requested the $10,000 check from the fraternity based on a request from Brother Gary C. Clark, 20th District Representative, Third District of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. In addition, Brother Dr. Bob Turner is the Executive Director of the VSU Foundation. Last, Nu Psi Chapter’s ‘1961 line” donated $1,000.00 as well. Brother Lewis Forrest, Nu Psi Chapter 1961 lead this effort.

The Third District of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. is home to roughly 2,000 members and includes 43 chapters across the District of Columbia (D.C.) and Virginia.
