Greetings Brothers!

In 1935, Alain LeRoy Locke, writer, poet, professor of philosophy, member of the Talented Tenth, and father of the Harlem Renaissance, delivered a radio address in connection with Omega’s 1934 Achievement Week program. Please read Locke’s speech as it appeared in the attached excerpt from the September 1935 Oracle. After reading Locke’s speech, I encourage you to make time to read it again.

Although unrelated, take a peek at the article that follows Locke’s speech. The article describes the history of Cuban race and economic paradigms. I thought the information was interesting in the context of the most recent Florida election result.

Interesting as that information may be, congratulations to President-Elect Joe Biden, Vice President-Elect Kamala Harris, and America. What a great achievement going into Achievement Week!

Make it a great week Brothers. Be noble!
