Greetings Brothers!

Let us recognize the Omega in the attached two articles from Zeta Iota chapter in Portsmouth, VA that appeared in the May 1964 Oracle. One article profiles the chapter’s Omega Man of the Year, Brother James W. Holley, and the other provides an achievement profile for other individuals in the chapter. Both are important historical records in and of themselves, but they are perhaps most important in there juxtaposition and collective message. As such, they would have provided source material for Aristotle in his development of the well-known maxim, “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” They also underscore that all the parts are worthy and important. Chapter leaders, reporters, and scribes, let’s listen to our past and recognize in our routine recording of history the achievements of our members.
