Greetings, Brothers of the Mighty Third District,

Honoring the Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: Standing Boldly in Service and Unity

Brothers—not tomorrow, but today.

As we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we are reminded that this day is more than a celebration; it is a call to serve, to lead, and to uplift. Dr. King’s unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and unity continues to guide our collective responsibility to create meaningful and lasting change.

This day holds special significance for Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., whose mission of brotherhood and service reflects Dr. King’s vision in action. Through unity and purposeful service, Omega Men remain steadfast in advancing hope, equity, and positive transformation within our communities.

Dr. King’s words continue to challenge and inspire us: “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” and “Everyone can be great, because everybody can serve.”

Brothers, this moment calls us to action—to serve boldly and to ensure our voices are heard. Advocacy for equity and equality is not optional; it is essential. Dr. King spoke of the “fierce urgency of now,” a charge that remains just as relevant today as it was in 1963. The time for action was then, and in 2026, the time is still now.

As we continue the work of advancing justice and opportunity, let us stand united in purpose and unwavering in resolve. May we embody the ideals of Omega—living our creed, standing in the gap, and demonstrating what REAL MEN do. May God grant us the strength, wisdom, and compassion to honor Dr. King’s legacy through meaningful action and faithful service.
