Mentorship

SUFFOLK, VA— Wednesday, April 11, 2018, The Golden Fold - Suffolk, in conjunction with Alpha Iota Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., had their regular session at the Taylor Bend Family YMCA.

The topic of discussion was PEER PRESSURE. The young leaders gave examples of the experiences they have encountered with peer pressure. They listened to each other’s story and gave advice to one another as uplift. Following that our guest speaker, Mr. Jay Hooper, introduced Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) to the young leaders. Mr. Hooper issued out a model vehicle that had to be assembled with a battery connection and operate off salt water. The young leaders paired up into groups and started thinking and assisting one another in putting the modeled vehicle together and into operation.
