Hampton, VA – On February 25, 2018, The Tri-Chapters of the Eastern Area III, Alpha Alpha, Kappa Iota Iota, and Zeta Omicron held their annual Talent Hunt.  To say that the talent was amazing would be an understatement.  The ten gifted participants, put on an amazing show that could have required a cover charge at the door.  The audience was treated to various forms of artistic talent ranging from seasoned instrumentalist, powerful spoken word, soulful vocalists, and dramatic dancers.  As if that was not enough, Master of Ceremony Brother Bruce Bond, was pleased to inform those in attendance that the average Grade Point Average of the contestants was roughly 3.25.  Master Brelan Jenkins, cellist, took 1st place and $250 with his spectacular stringed performance of Daniel van Goens, Scherzo OP. 12.  In his closing remarks, Committee Chairman Brother David Hamlette, expressed to the parents, family members, instructors, and friends, how proud they should be of these young talented students.  He went on to say, we should expect “GREAT things” from these kids and continue to support them at all cost.  The program was very professional, an overall success, with all contestants leaving with a monetary stipend.
