2016 THIRD DISTRICT VREM RATIONALE: We are asking every Chapter within the Third District to make a concerted effort to conduct an aggressive Voter Registration, Education, and Mobilization (VREM) program this year. 2016 is the Presidential election along with some state and local official election, its importance is critical to how our country moves forward, and Men of Omega can have a great impact on our communities and country at large. Omega Men have always answered the call regarding civic duties and voter registration; our tradition in these areas trace back to our founding founders. We must continue these efforts in helping to shape the future of our country.
OBJECTIVE: As a Mandated Program of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., we intend to conduct non‐ partisan VREM activities and events designed to increase registered voters and increase educational awareness among citizens within the Third District. Additionally, the District through its Chapters are to provide an aggressive mobilization campaign by providing transportation to the polls on Election Day for those citizens who may require such assistance in order to vote.
